Miss Spears scooped 3 awards at the MTV Video Music Awards show in Los Angeles yesterday and about time too! Britney has received 16 nominations over the years but this is the first time she has been awarded any of them.
She dedicated the awards to her fans.... awww
Russel Brand hosted the night and in his opening monologue he made fun of George W Bush, saying that the Brits "thought it was nice of you to let him have a go [at being president], because, in England, he wouldn't be trusted with a pair of scissors". We applaud him for this and for the fact he heralded the night as the "launch of a very new Britney Spears era".
